Five Ways To Use Your Matcha Tea

At Bootea, we know good tea when we taste it. That's why we just had to introduce Matcha Tea into our collection of great-tasting detox products.

Matcha Tea is a unique type of green tea produced in Japan - and it's a little different from regular tea. For a start, it's stone-ground into a vibrant green powder rather than coming in a regular teabag - which can make it difficult to know how to get the best from your Matcha!

But the beauty of powdered tea means you can use in plenty of other ways - not just in your morning brew. Check out these five delicious ways you can use your Matcha Tea!

Matcha Chia Seed Pudding

The perfect way to start your day! Mix two cups of almond milk with 1/2 cup of chia seeds. Stir in half a teaspoon of Matcha and mix. Add maple syrup or honey and leave it to soak for three hours in the fridge. Then enjoy your delicious, nutritious pudding!

Chocolate Matcha Energy Balls

Enjoy Matcha on-the-go with these easy energy balls! Blitz 1/2 cup of pitted dates and 1/2 cup fo almonds in a food processor. Add 1/4 cup of cocoa powder, one tablespoon of Matcha Tea and 1 tablespoon of almond milk. Roll the mixture into balls and dust with a little more Matcha powder to finish - then throw them into your lunchbox for the perfect afternoon snack.

Matcha Coconut Latte

This winter warmer is perfect when temperatures drop. Mix 1/4 cup of warmed coconut milk with one teaspoon of Matcha in a large mug. Top up with hot water and whisk until frothy. Latte art optional!

Vanilla Matcha Protein Smoothie

This protein smoothie is great for refuelling after you've hit the gym! Grab a blender and add in one cup of almond milk, two scoops of protein shake (Bootea Vanilla Shake works particularly well!), one banana, two teaspoons of Matcha and a 1/2 cup of ice. Mix until smooth, then add maple syrup or honey to taste!

Matcha Tea

The easiest and best way to get your daily dose of Matcha. Stir one gram of your Matcha powder into a regular mug, then add a small amount of cold water to combine. Top up with boiling water, leave for a few moments to cool, then enjoy your Matcha as it was always intended!
