Five things to do with your Matcha tea

Posted by Bootea Team on

Our Bootea Matcha is finally here! Not quite sure what Matcha is?

Matcha is a unique type of green tea produced in Japan. For centuries Matcha has been used in Japanese tea ceremonies and producing it is a real art. Matcha is grown using specialist methods, before being stone-ground into a fine powder, to ensure it contains the highest concentration of antioxidants and nutrients. The more vibrant the green colour of the powder, the better the quality of the Matcha.

Matcha Chia Seed Pudding

Get your day off to a good start with our chia seed matcha pudding. Simply mix 2 cups of almond milk with 1/2 cup of chia seeds. In a separate small bowl, stir matcha powder with 1-2 table spoons of maple syrup. Mix together and leave it to soak for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator.

Chocolate Matcha Energy Balls

Have your matcha on the go with these matcha energy balls. Add 1/2 cup pitted dates and 1/2 cup of almonds to a food processor. Add 1/4 cup cocoa powder, 1T matcha tea and 1T almond milk. Roll into balls and dust with more matcha powder.

Matcha Coconut Latte

Warm yourself up with a Matcha Coconut Latte. Put 1 teaspoon of matcha into a large mug, add 1/4 cup of hot water and 1/4 cup warmed coconut milk and whisk until frothy.

Vanilla Matcha Protein Smoothie

Make a smoothie with a difference. Combine 1 cup of almond milk, 2 scoops of vanilla bootea shake, 1/2 cup ice, 1 banana, 2 teaspoons of Bootea Matcha powder, 1/2 teaspoon of maple syrup in a blender and mix until smooth.

Matcha Tea

Matcha is best served in a cup with near boiling water. To get the best Matcha tea sift 1g of Matcha powder into a mug and add a small amount of cold water. Whisk until the powder is fully mixed with the water and then top up with boiling water.
